As of 1st November, it is possible to vaildate European patent applications and patents in Moldova. After validation, these patents will confer the same rights and legal protection as national patents granted in Moldova.

The entry into force of this agreement brings the number of countries up to 42 for which patent protection can be obtained with a single European patent application.
