The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has rejected Spain's challenge to the UPC paving the way for its implementation (decisions C-146/13 and C-147/13). It follows the Advocate General Yves Bot's opinion, reported earlier here.

A potentially significant stumbling block has been removed and a further seven states are needed to ratify the UPC agreement, including the UK and germany.
