UK's Government cannot trigger Brexit without parliamentary approval

The UK's High Court has ruled that the Government does not have the power to trigger Article 50 without parliamentary approval and a vote from MPs. Article 50 provides the mechanism for a country to leave the European Union.

The Government is likely to appeal the decision and there will undoubtedly be many more twists to this tale in the coming months.
