On the 25 March 2015, the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) updated its guidance note for patenting inventions involving human embryonic stem cells.

The updated guidance note takes account of the CJEU's decision regarding International Stem Cell Corporation's patent applications relating to human embryonic stem (hES) cells, which was reported here.
